Barista Brewology

Ages 13+
Barista Brewology: the art, science, history, and geography of coffee. Discover the art, science, and global story of coffee in this 15-week, hands-on course for teens (ages 14-17). Students will explore the geography and history of coffee, master espresso extraction, milk frothing, and latte art, and learn the science behind flavor, grind size, extraction, and milk chemistry. The class includes a field trip to a local roaster, where students will see the roasting process in action. By the end, participants will have the knowledge, technical understanding, and real-world experience to step confidently into entry-level barista roles.
